About two years ago, my neighbor and best friend convinced me to try Whole 30 with her. My weight had been stuck +/- a pound for the longest time no matter how hard I worked out or how much I focused on eating “healthier”, so I agreed to give Whole 30 a try.
Not only does my family feel better, my five year old daughter started eating more varieties of food, and I lost that weight I had been wanting to lose for the longest time! The best part about it was not having to count any calories or worrying about what I ate. I just planned out whole, unprocessed meals and snacks each day. We are still doing a modified Whole 30 now that I kept up all last year while pregnant and was able to immediately lose the weight after giving birth. I credit that to the foods we are eating (I still gained 60 lbs just like in my first pregnancy, but it took me three times as long to lose the weight the first time around).
